The Malak Chardak project combines the contemporary design language with the old building tradition in Bulgaria.

Traditionally, two houses are built on one plot of land in Bulgaria. A main house for the two younger generations and a small house for the grandparents. Over time, some of the users move from the big house to the small house and new residents come to the big house, but life in the housing community is always maintained. In this way, three generations can live harmoniously on one property.

So everyone can have their privacy and at the same time everyone is together.

Architecturally, the goal was to create a wide range of spaces with different qualities. From completely closed to semi-closed and semi-open to completely open spaces. All rooms have been arranged in such a way that they always get sun when they are used. The windows have been positioned where the best views are available. To the north of the house, a portico has created a place for contemplation of the wide plain and the mountains in the background. In the southern part of the house have been positioned the areas for outdoor living: a covered outdoor dining room, a covered outdoor kitchen, a garden bedroom with folding glass walls and indoor jacuzzi, as well as a swimming pool in the garden.

The house is planned for a well-to-do IT professional and his family.

The plot is located near the big city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
